The set consists of a hose coupling DKG with a quick-release fastener and the matching coupling pin D1. If you screw the hose coupling onto the end of a propane hose and the coupling pin onto the appropriate handle with 3/8″ left connection, the propane hose can be coupled and uncoupled without tools. This is particularly convenient for transport. The photo below illustrates how it works.
